Before you start
Your connection details appear in your dashboard after payment and machine assignment.
Find your Tailscale invite, IP address, Mac username and initial password in your dashboard.
Connect in three steps
1. Install Tailscale on your computer
Download the app for your operating system, sign in to your Tailscale account and keep the app connected while using the rental Mac.
2. Accept the invite from your dashboard
Open the current invite and accept it with the same Tailscale account you use in the app. Your AI KIZAI login and Tailscale login are separate accounts.
3. Choose SSH or Screen Sharing
SSH — command line
Copy the SSH command from your dashboard into Terminal on macOS or Linux, or PowerShell with SSH on Windows. Enter the Mac password when prompted.
Screen Sharing — macOS desktop
On a Mac, use the dashboard’s Screen Sharing button. If it does not open, search for “Screen Sharing” in Spotlight and open the app, create a new connection and enter the Tailscale IP from your dashboard. Sign in with the Mac username and password shown there.
On Windows or Linux, use a compatible VNC client with the address and authentication details from your dashboard. If a separate VNC password is shown, use that for a client that asks for a VNC sharing password.
If you cannot connect
The Tailscale invite does not work. What should I check?
Refresh your dashboard and open its current invite. Check that the account accepting the invite matches the account signed in to your Tailscale app. If the invite is unavailable or cannot be accepted, contact support to check access.
The password is rejected. Which password should I use?
Use the rental Mac username and initial Mac password from your dashboard, rather than your website or Tailscale password. If you changed the Mac password, use your new one; the dashboard keeps displaying the initial value. For a client requesting a separate VNC sharing password, use that field when provided. Contact support if you still cannot sign in.
The Screen Sharing button does nothing, or no desktop appears. What next?
First check that Tailscale is connected. On macOS, open Screen Sharing manually and enter the dashboard’s Tailscale IP. Windows and Linux need a compatible VNC client. If SSH works but the desktop does not, send the Screen Sharing error to support.
